Right to Counsel-- After a conviction of second-degree murder, the defendant is appealing the trial judge's order denying a motion to suppress statements, claiming that he invoked his right to counsel during police questioning.

Mortgage Foreclosure-- The plaintiffs are appealing dismissal of their complaint against Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems, Inc. and its attorneys, in which the plaintiff sought to enjoin foreclosure of a mortgage on the basis that the mortgagee did not own the underlying promissory note.

Criminal; Drug Offenses-- Whether the defendant should receive the benefit of a law reducing the "school zone" for drug offenses from 1,000 feet to 300 feet where the offense occurred before the law became effective but while charges were pending against the defendant.
