Massachusetts Teachers' Retirement System v. Contributory Retirement Appeal Board
Administrative Law-- Where a vocational teacher purchased credit for vocational services rendered before the teacher joined the Massachusetts Teachers' Retirement System, whether interest on the purchase relates back to the time the vocational services were rendered or whether interest begins to run at the time the teacher joined the retirement system.

Brigade Leveraged Capital Structures Fund Ltd. v. Pimco Income Strategy Fund
Business/Corporate Law-- Where corporate by-laws provide for a meeting "on an annual basis", whether the meeting must be held in or within 12 months from the previous meeting or whether the meeting may be scheduled anytime during the next year.


Aleo v. SLB Toys USA, Inc.
Product Liability; Wrongful Death-- Various issues in a product liability action where the decedent broke her spine while using an inflatable pool slide, including whether an award of punitive damages was proper.


Commonwealth v. Sylvain
Criminal-- Whether the defendant is entitled to withdraw his guilty plea in a drug prosecution on the basis of erroneous advice from counsel concerning the immigration consequences of the plea.


Commonwealth v. Hanright
Criminal-- The Commonwealth is appealing a Superior Court order dismissing charges on the basis that the grand jury did not hear sufficient evidence regarding liability of an accomplice arising out of an armed robbery where death occurred.
