Workers' Compensation-- Where the parties entered into an agreement to pay an injured employee approximately $7600 and an attorney's fee of $2500, whether the insurer could withhold 22 percent of the award to offset the fee of the employee's attorney.

City of Boston v. Boston Police Superior Officers Federation
Arbitration-- Whether an arbitrator's award prohibiting the involuntary transfer of a police officer who was a union representative interferes with the authority of the Boston Police Commissioner to transfer officers.

Medical Malpractice Procedure-- Where a medical malpractice tribunal has found against the plaintiff, whether the trial judge may deny an indigent plaintiff's request to reduce a bond necessary to proceed with the case on the basis that plaintiff's counsel had the resources to pay the bond.
