The summaries of cases for oral argument were prepared by Marc G. Perlin, Professor of Law at Suffolk University Law School. Zaniboni v. Massachusetts Trial Court
Age Discrimination-- The plaintiff is claiming age discrimination after her promotion to a position as Head Administrative Assistant in the Plymouth Probate and Family Court was rescinded as a result of a grievance by another employee.

Osorio v. Division of Unemployment Assistance
Unemployment Benefits-- Whether an employee is eligible for unemployment benefits where she had contemporaneous full-time and part-time employment and voluntarily left her full-time job but was laid off from her part-time job.


Commonwealth v. Chambers
Criminal-- Various issues arising out of manslaughter conviction.


Cook v. Patient Edu, LLC
Employment Law-- Whether individual managers of a Massachusetts limited liability company may be found liable for violations of the Massachusetts Weekly Payment of Wages Act.


Depianti v. Jan-Pro Franchising International, Inc.
Employment Law-- The United States District Court has certified to the Supreme Judicial Court questions arising out of a class action suit by commercial cleaning workers concerning their classification as independent contractors.


Commonwealth v. Bundy
  (Reserve Case)
Criminal-- Various issues arising out of conviction for posing and exhibiting a child in a state of nudity arising out of an on-line video chat.
