| Summary | Benjamin Kaplan was a justice of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court from 1972 until his retirement in 1981. In 1945 he served on the prosecution team preparing for the Nuremberg war crime trials. He taught copyright at Harvard Law School and was co-author of the first casebook on copyright law and the author of An unhurried view of copyright (1967), a collection of lectures. After his retirement from the Supreme Judicial Court he served on the Massachusetts Appeals Court. Justice Kaplan died on August 18, 2010. |
