Diane D'Souza is founder and CEO of SWAT Assist, a Boston-based company which assists elders through life transitions. Her lifelong interests in healing and spirituality have led to work and study in the areas of psychology, conflict resolution, and religion. Diane has an MA in Educational Psychology and Counseling from McGill  University in Montreal, and a Ph.D. in Religion from Vrieje University in the Netherlands. Her Ph.D. dissertation focused on the religious lives of Muslim Shia women in India, an area where she is well published. Diane worked for nearly twenty years in India where she was the Associate Director of  the Henry Martyn Institute (HMI) in Hyderabad, an inter-religious study, research and training center. Her work at HMI focused on gender and development and culminated in her developing and leading a vibrant international Conflict Resolution and Peacebuilding Program. She has designed and facilitated programs in Asia, Africa, Europe and North America, and is an adjunct Professor in the International Post Graduate Program in Peace, Conflict and Development Studies at the Universitat Jaume I in Castellón, Spain.
