Boston Harbor Islands: Past, Present, and Future

In celebration of the 40th anniversary of Earth Day, Suffolk University will host a panel discussion that explores the creation and ongoing management of the Boston Harbor Islands, using it as a case study of land recovery and management. The panel will highlight the groups that made the transformation possible, including environmental groups, and state and federal agencies, and elected officials such as Congressman Joe Moakley JD ’56.

Panelists include: Moderator Vivien Li, Executive Director of the Boston Harbor Association;Thomas B. Powers, President of Boston Harbor Island Alliance; John Weinfurter, President of Kimmitt, Senter, Coates & Weinfurter (KSC&W); and Marc Albert, Stewardship Program Manager for Boston Harbor Islands National Park Area.
