back to top^The housing deposit secures your stay in our residence halls. Therefore, it is non-refundable unless the Office of Residence Life and Summer Programs is not able to provide you with a housing assignment.

back to top^If you are staying for less than two weeks, we require your housing payment to be paid in full before you arrive. If you are staying for more than two weeks, your first two weeks rent is due upon arrival. Every two weeks your next payment is due. Your initial deposit is deducted from your last two weeks of rent.
back to top^We try our best to accommodate your preferences indicated on your housing application. Due to differences in lengths of stay, sizes of conference groups and genders of participants, we cannot guarantee that you will be housed in your first choice. Notification of your building will be sent via e-mail or postal mail after all application materials have been received and processed
back to top^Our Residence Halls are located in the heart of Downtown Boston. Our 150 Tremont Street building is located across from Boston Common. The 10 Somerset Street building is located in the shadow of the State House. Both are just minutes from the Park St. subway station.
back to top^Yes. Each building has a cafeteria that, when open, provides 19 meals per week. Breakfast is included for all guests who stay in our residence halls. Additional meals may be purchased a la carte or through a weekly meal plan. There are no kitchen facilities available during the summer. Guest will also find that the City of Boston provides more restaurants than one could possibly try during a summer. Many of them are located just a short walk from the residence halls. While there is always one dining hall available, the operation of additional dining facilities open when during increased business.
Safety of our guests is our number one priority. Each residence hall features 24-hour security by the Suffolk University Police & Security. Only registered guests staying at Suffolk University are permitted to enter the building. Depending on the living arrangement of your room, you will be issued a room/suite key and an access for the front door.

Internet access is provided upon request for any guests staying more than 4 weeks. All guests who bring a computer and wish to access the internet may do so per the following conditions, all computers must sign a release form indicating that their computer has an anti-virus program installed with the latest virus updates. Computer lab facilities are also available in each building.
back to top^Suffolk University will clean suite bathrooms (150 Tremont) and cluster bathrooms (10 Somerset) twice per week. Hallway bathrooms (150 Tremont) will be cleaned daily. New linens will be provided once per week. Guests are responsible for emptying their trash.
back to top^For guests who may be living in our residence halls for an extended period of time, you may want to bring a micro-fridge or microwave. back to top^Yes. All of our rooms are equipped air-conditioned and individually climate controlled.
back to top^Guests with lengths of stay for less than four weeks may invite friends and family to visit only between the hours of 8 A.M. and 10 P.M. Guests with lengths of stay of more than four weeks are permitted to have overnight visitors for no more than three consecutive nights in a row, provided that all roommates agree to have a visitor. Visitors are not provided their own room. Both day and night guests must provide satisfactory photo identification upon entering the building. Guests under the age of 17 are not permitted to have visitors at any time.
back to top^Since both of our residence halls are located in the heart of downtown Boston, parking facilities are not available. If you plan to bring a car with you to the city, several parking garages are available for a large fee. The Boston subway (T) is conveniently located between our two residence halls and is the preferred method of transportation for our students and our guests. back to top^Great question. If you are arriving by Logan Airport and are not carrying a lot of luggage, Suffolk University is easily accessible by subway via the blue and green line trains. Taxis are also available and one-way fares will cost between $20.00 and $30.00.
Both North and South Station are just a short walk from our Residence Halls. They are also located on the subway line.
If you are arriving by car, it is suggested that you park directly in front of our building and leave a passenger inside the car while you check-in at our office. Moving bins are available to unload boxes from your car and bring them to your building to minimize your time outside. It is strongly discouraged to leave your vehicle unattended. The Boston City Police Department will ticket parked cars in violation of local parking ordinances. Suffolk University is not responsible for any tickets incurred while moving into your room.
