Summer 2013 Writing Group Kick-Off Meeting

Thursday, May 9th, 12-1pm

During the academic year, the CTE offers a writing group for faculty and staff who are interested in goal-setting and accountability. Participants meet weekly to discuss their projects, troubleshoot obstacles, and celebrate successes. The Summer 2013 Writing Group kick-off meeting will be held on Thursday, May 9th, 12-1pm. At this meeting we’ll discuss the goals of the group and decide on the weekly meeting time for the spring semester. RSVP

Here’s what your peers are saying about the CTE writing group:

“I think that I have re-found my need for a community of writers to maintain my energy.”

“I feel able to take on the academic writing world that I looked at from a distance before.”

“I think of myself as less isolated because I know a community of scholars like myself who also are challenged with scholarly writing. I no longer feel entirely in a category by myself.”

“The experience of participating in a writing group program helped me… feel more hopeful that I could surmount some of the challenges in scholarly writing.”

“I don't beat myself up so much about my style of writing, I know I can do it--and I credit the CTE writing group for reminding me.”

Past writing group members and newcomers are welcome!
