Internet addiction in the classroom: A distraction or learning aid?
Thursday, October 11th, 1-2:15pm (CANCELLED)

The ubiquitous nature of smartphones, tablets, and their ilk in the hands of students have taken internet connectivity to a new level. While access to information may be seen as enhancing learning, access to continuing conversations with friends and surfing shopping/entertainment sites may be distractions. How should faculty respond to this situation? How to set behavioral norms and ensure adherence? You are invited to share your experience and your solutions in a conversation to enhance student and faculty classroom experience.
