Science 1
Here in New England we experience a wide range of weather conditions from snowstorms and nor'easters to tropical storms and heavy rainfall. This course introduces students to concepts in weather and climate. By exploring basic concepts such as temperature, moisture, pressure and wind students will learn about these and other various weather phenomenon and why they occur.
Science 2
As with many of our other courses, Science 2 will be a continuation of Science 1. With a focus on a more hands on approach to learning, Science 2 will conduct various "laboratory" experiments outside the classroom. Students will venture out in the Boston Commons, alongside the Charles River and any other number of places that can be utilized to interact with our ever changing climate. It is New England after all!
