Sensory Disability Institute

Monday, May 14th, 10-1pm
Poetry Center, Sawyer Library

Please join us for an overview of how to effectively teach students with sensory disabilities, specifically those with vision and hearing disabilities. This Institute will include information on how these students learn and what it takes the university to ensure that they have full access to courses. A faculty panel will share their experiences and best practices for working with these students over lunch. The Institute will conclude with an opportunity for each faculty member to examine their course in terms of accessibility for students with visual and hearing disabilities.
