Who Is Eligible To Apply

Student must be a current college freshmen or sophomore at an accredited institution at time of application. Preference will be given to students who are members of a group that has been historically under-represented in law schools (African American/Black, Latino/Hispanic, American Indian/Alaskan Native, or Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander). Additionally, students with a demonstrated financial need, and those who register on DiscoverLaw.org, will be given priority.

Interested students must also:

• Complete an application packet, including a writing sample, resume, sealed transcripts,  income verification form, personal data form, one page personal statement, certification and release of information form, and 2 letters of recommendation.
• Currently a college freshmen or sophomore with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher. Juniors and Seniors are not eligible to apply.
• Commit to attending all seminars, workshops, and activities sponsored by the SU DiscoverLaw.org PLUS Program and webinars during the academic year.
• Articulate an interest in attending law school.
• If selected as a finalist, applicant must participate in an interview with the selection commitment, through video conference or in-person.
• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
