Hi everyone, my name is Samanthalee, but most people call me Sammi. I'm going to be a sophomore at Suffolk and this will be my first year as a Retention Scholar. I am an open major, but I am leaning toward Communications with a minor in Theatre. I'm from Brighton, MA which is about 20 minutes outside of the city of Boston. I currently live on-campus in 10 West, but spend most of my time at the Ridgeway Building in the Athletic office. I am a pitcher/first baseman for the softball team here at Suffolk (hence why I spend so much time at Ridgeway).

As a first year Retention Scholar, I hope to get people more involved on campus. As an athlete, I love school spirit and getting involved is just the way to boost that spirit. For incoming freshman or transfers, I would say getting involved is the easiest way to make friends, become comfortable with the city campus, and have a smooth transition into Suffolk. If you have an interest, don't be afraid to do it here! Suffolk has something for everyone. And if you need help transitioning or finding your interests, the other Retention Scholars and I are here to help!
