Hello, my name is Samienta and I am currently a junior here at Suffolk. My major is Government (Politics, Laws, & Courts) and I have a minor in Foundations of Education. I am from Westborough, MA. I chose to attend Suffolk University because it is right next to the state house, situated in the heart of the city, and offers a ton of opportunities to help me grow as a person. This will be my second year as a Retention Scholar. I became a Retention Scholar because I enjoy helping others. I know it can be hard to adjust to a new environment. Although Suffolk looks like a big school, it is actually smaller than people think. I spent my first year learning about the different departments and resources that Suffolk offers to help us succeed. I am involved with different organizations here at Suffolk, including cultural groups, the Dance Team and Student Government Association. You can become an active member here on campus doing anything you like to do, whether it is sports, dancing, writing, or supporting your peers by attending events. I am friendly and approachable; please don’t hesitate to start a conversation with me! I am here to help you transition to college smoothly and make your Suffolk experience the best it can be.
