Email is a primary means of communication at Suffolk. At the University level, Information Technology Services employs advanced security systems that help to protect your email from viruses, trojan horses, spyware, and other malicious attempts to abuse our system or the communications of those who use it.

The University also provides access to desktop virus and spyware protection software.  This software is installed on all new University computers, and updated periodically.

While these systems provide a significant level of protection, it is every user's responsibility to help keep our email communications secure and private.

If you notice any indication that your email has been compromised or is being misused, please contact the Help Desk at helpdesk@suffolk.edu, or call us at  (617) 557-2000 between 8:30am and  8:00pm, Monday through Friday.  On campus, just dial 2000.
