Active Listening

Active listening is a foundation communication skill. Whether receiving feedback or answering customers’ questions, active listening promotes understanding, dialogue, and a respectful work environment. This program is highly interactive with small group conversation, exercises, and discussion. At the end of the program, participants should be able to:

• Practice key active listening skills to enhance dialogue

• Describe the components and barriers of active listening

• Practice positive responses to difficult conversations

• Utilize an individual action plan for on-going learning
