Degree Requirements & Program Length
MFA degree requirements should be completed within two to four years, and no longer than five years, after the start of graduate coursework. The 60-credit program is divided into two phases: Phase I (24 credits) and Phase II (36 credits). Candidacy review is conducted by the Graduate Review Committee after the completion of Phase I, before students may continue on to Phase II. There are two separate tracks of completion: Track A: Two-Year Track (6 semesters including 2 summer semesters) and Track B: Four Year Track (10 semesters including 2 summer semesters).
