Students in the program will have the opportunity to travel to several special locations around Madrid and the surrounding regions, where they will experience first-hand contact with some of the most influential Spanish works, through visits to various museums. Through a careful and exciting selection of site visits and lectures, the program will provide an overview of the history of Spanish culture, art & architecture. Emphasis will be placed on chronological development of design styles & periods, the visual characteristics of each style including Spanish idiosyncrasies and their influence on Western traditions.
