Julianna, MA Interior Design

Julianna caught the interior design bug while working as a construction administrator for Cannon Design.“I was greatly interested in what was going on around me at the office,” she says. “Everyone’s energy and enthusiasm for design was contagious. I quickly became engrossed.” She successfully transitioned into the company’s interior design department and started looking for a graduate program to strengthen her skill-set.
She enrolled as a continuing education student at the School of Art & Design, choosing Lighting Design as her first course.“A few classes into the semester, I was sold,” she says. Julianna registered as a full-time graduate student the next semester, while keeping her full-time job.
She maintains the love for collaboration she cultivated at Suffolk University. While she is thrilled to “have a design voice of my own,” she notes, “teamwork in the workplace often leads to a final outcome that no single person could accomplish alone.” And there are some familiar faces in her professional network. “I am proud that many of my School of Art & Design classmates are my colleagues today,” Julianna says.
