Woodshop
Overview
The Woodshop is a resource for students who want to fabricate and manipulate materials. Among its many functions, the studio can be used to build painting stretchers, create sculptures in wood or construct models. The Woodshop is designed as a resource to support coursework across the art and design disciplines. It is open to all students who have competed the equipment training & safety program.

Staff
Paul Andrade, Woodshop Manager & Full-time Lab Instructor
- 20 years of fabrication experience
- Advises students on projects and trains on the shop safety
Woodshop Monitors
- 2-3 monitors are assigned to the Woodshop
- Each monitor completes safety a training with the Woodshop Manager and first aid training with a nurse.
Training & Safety
Woodshop is supervised by the Manager or a trained monitor. All students using the Woodshop must complete a training and safety session, which includes proper equipment operation and emergency procedures.
