School of Art & Design Resources
In addition to the extensive resources available throughout the University, there are some specialized services and resources conveniently located on-site for students at the School of Art & Design. A dedicated visual arts resource and materials library comprises 1,500 sq.ft. of our basement space and the Ballotti Learning Center has a satellite office on the 2nd floor staffed by an educational consultant and student tutors. In addition, Campus Police staff are assigned to the 2nd floor security station and are available to take student ID photos and assist in case of emergency.

Academic Support
Suffolk University has a host of academic services to help you succeed both academically and personally. In addition to the student services available on the main campus, there are also specialized academic services offered at the School of Art & Design, which are geared towards the unique needs of the visual arts learner. The School has an on-site Educational Consultant to help determine what resources best fit your academic needs. To complement the first-year of Foundation Studies, we also offer a Jump Start Art Program, where you can further develop and refine your visual arts skills.

Writing Center
The Writing Center offers free tutorials in writing, research and literary analysis for students enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programs. English majors from the highest rank will tutor you on the writing essentials including: grammar, punctuation, and style. Whether you are trying to write an artist's statement, a research paper or your Master's thesis, you'll find this free resource a valuable tool.
Counseling Center
The Counseling Center at Suffolk University is a free service open to all enrolled students and is dedicated to helping you better achieve your personal and academic goals through a variety of services. Following is a sample list of what the Counseling Center can help you with: resolving personal problems, academic difficulties, family, peer and roommate concerns, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, stress and time management.
