In the Fall of 2005 the Government Department founded a Department Alumni Advisory Board, made up of several undergraduate and graduate alums of the department. In the Spring of 2006 the Board hosted its second meeting and held what it hopes to be its first annual event, a talk by Congressman James McGovern at the Omni Parker House Hotel.
