I am from New Hampshire and attended St. Anselm College, where I worked as an undergraduate with Dr. Paul Finn and obtained my B.A. My interest in sleep research led to internships with Dr. Rains at Eliot Hospital in Manchester and Dr. Carskadon at Brown University, and before that to a stint at the Dartmouth Medical Center as an undergraduate research scholar. Later I returned to Dartmouth to do an internship with Dr. Laura Flashman. Through the collaboration between Dr. Moes and Dr. Finn I was able to continue with her research on the relationship between sleep and cognition in athletes and individuals with traumatic brain injuries.
