Our Vision: We as representatives of the field of psychology, with integrity, seek to promote  equal  opportunities for all.

Our mission is to be inclusive and welcoming of difference in all of our interactions with individuals within and across communities. We strive to eliminate social disparities through education, training, practice, research, service and mentorship.

Objectives

1. Support Outreach fellows as they promote the visions of the diversity committee through advocacy, outreach, research, teaching, and practice. 

2. Support recruitment and retention of a diverse faculty and student body.

3. Support and recognize faculty, students and staff who make substantial contributions to improving diversity of the department, campus, community and/or society.

4. Disseminate information that promotes diversity.

5. Sponsor guest speakers that provide information on diversity both within the psychology department and across the university.

6. Support seminars, workshops and programs that address and explore diversity issues.

7. Build relationships with organizations within the college, across the university, and throughout the greater Boston metropolitan area, that embrace and expand the mission of the diversity committee.
