• Student photographers document post-Katrina efforts

The gallery at the New England School of Art & Design at Suffolk University features Waveland: Small town life after Katrina, a photo documentary exhibit by Suffolk University students. The work is an offshoot of their visit to Louisiana during spring break 2006 to provide vitally needed assistance in the post-Katrina cleanup. This project presents a selection of photographic images taken by the student volunteers.

John L. Moore: Drawings

New York-based artist John L. Moore creates large canvases with abstracted references to mirrors, trees, and branches. These are signifiers for issues of self and race. Keeping the Invisible Secret is Moore’s first Boston-based exhibition.

Both exhibits run through November 3, 2006, at, 75 Arlington Street, Boston.

Gallery hours: Monday-Friday 9am-9pm
Saturday and Sunday noon-5pm
