Join Distinguished Visiting Scholar Rogers Smith for a discussion of how and why race and class politics have posed barriers to Barack Obama's pursuit of what he sees as the central aim of the American political system -- realizing the goal of "E Pluribus Unum."

Reception to follow in McDermott Conference Room, 1st floor Donahue building (41 Temple St). Take a left out of the theatre down Temple St, and enter 41 through the revolving doors. Take a right off the lobby and follow the signs down the hallway to McDermott. All are welcome.
