• Being an Asian-American in America

A Rosenberg Institute Lecture by Dan Wu

Wednesday, October 4, 2012
Poetry Center, 3rd Floor Sawyer Library
73 Tremont St, Boston

Dan Wu is the Director of Enrollment Partnership Programs at Suffolk University. He attended Yonsei University in South Korea. He is an alumnus of UMASS Amherst Isenberg School of Management, and Boston University.

As an Asian-American, he knows firsthand what it is like to be asked, “Where are you from?” based on his appearance. They really are asking, “Which country are you from, because you don’t look American?” In his lecture, Wu will discuss living with the constant misperceptions and prejudices of others based on his ethnicity.

Free and open to the public. Talk will be in English. Light refreshments will be served. Sponsored by the Rosenberg Institute for East Asian Studies at Suffolk University.
