Clinical Programs

More than 100 graduating students participated in a Clinical Program this year, with an additional 15 participating in the Juvenile Internship Program.

International Study

41 members of the class of 2012 participated in the University of Lund Study-Abroad program in Sweden.

The Marshall Brennan Project

Nine graduating students participated in the Marshall-Brennan Constitutional Literacy Project, which aims to spark young people's interest in politics, law, and government by having law students teach high school students about aspects of constitutional law that directly impact their everyday lives. These issues range from students' rights of free expression on political and religious matters to school authorities' rights to search students' lockers or demand urine or blood samples. Suffolk students worked with seven area high schools in 2011-2012. The project is a national initiative based at American University's Washington College of Law.

Pro Bono Projects

Students in the Class of 2012 completed almost 3,000 hours of pro bono service. Projects included service for the Committee for Public Counsel Services, the District Attorney’s Office, The Boston Area Rape Crisis Center, Upward Bound, the Attorney General’s Office, the Volunteer Lawyers Project and a number of other organizations focused on public service.

• 48 students completed 100 or more hours of pro bono work
