Get interactive with Distingushed Visiting Scholar Derek Burrows!

Distinguished Visiting Scholar Derek Burrows was born in the Bahamas, where storytelling was a vital part of the cultural tradition. As a storyteller he performs in the tradition of the African Griot, presenting a variety of tales while using musical instruments, song, poetry, and movement. Derek says, "As a tradition bearer, I continue to tell stories of my culture in hopes that tradition will not die."

This afternoon event will be an interactive roundtable discussion on the art of storytelling with  Derek Burrows. All are welcome - bring your questions! No reservations necessary.
