Understanding Finanacial Market in a Complex Global Economy with Ren Y. Cheng, Senior Research Advisor, Fidelity Investments

Traditional economic and finance models have failed to predict and explain our current global economy. Ren Cheng will provide new insights and analysis to better understand the “once in a lifetime” economic events of the past 20 years. He will also reveal how to better predict such events and to design more effective financial strategies.
Mr. Cheng works with investment teams across the company on asset allocation and research. He is known for inventing and developing the concept of target-date funds and was the first manager of the Fidelity Freedom Funds. In addition, he started and managed the Fidelity UNIQUE 529 college investment funds. His past positions include managing director and chief investment officer of the Global Asset Allocation Group.
