Suffolk Univerisity Law School presents "The Legacy of Indian Residential Schools: History, Law and Indigenous People". The Honorable Frank Iacobucci will discuss his negotiation of the Indian Residential Schools Settlement Agreement.
Iacobucci, is a retired justice of the Supreme Court of Canada. The agreement compensated former residential school students and created a Truth and Reconcilliation Commission. The commission has a mandate "to learn the truth about what happened in the residential schools and to inform all Canadians about what happened in the schools."
