Young mothers from the Massachusetts Alliance on Teen Pregnancy's Young Parent Policy Fellows Program will share their stories and talk about the role that cultural attitudes and public policy can play in helping teen parents build successful lives.
Few groups in our society are at greater risk for poverty and hardship than teen mothers and their children. Through this pioneering program the Massachusetts Alliance on Teen Pregnancy is helping teen and former teen mothers defy stigmas and low expectations, advocate for themselves and their families, and overcome barriers to opportunity and success.
Sponsored by the Suffolk University Master of Arts in Women's Health program and the Massachusetts Alliance on Teen Pregnancy.
