"Waiting for Superman"

Film to be shown at second session of the Social Justice Series

The 2010 documentary, Waiting For Superman,  follows several students hoping to attend charter, rather than public, schools. A high-stakes lottery selection will determine their fates. Renowned education advocate Geoffrey Canada features prominently in this film and gives poignant meaning to its title.

The three-part Social Justice Series is co-sponsored by Diversity Services, S.O.U.L.S., the Office of Student Affairs, the Office of Academic Access and Opportunity, and the Center for Teaching Excellence.
