Dr. Norman Smith of the University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada, is a noted specialist and author on the literature and popular culture of Japanese-occupied Manchukuo.  Dr. Smith will speak about his latest research on how the people lived when the Japanese were occupying northeast China.
