Join scholar, Dr. Matteo Casini  illustrate the motivations and actions that brought about the birth of modern Italy. Dr. Casini will explain the historical process called “Risorgimento,” that liberated the Italian peninsula from foreign occupation and permitted the creation of the first Italian Parliament in 1861.
