The 2011 Civic Discourse series "Immigrants in America" concludes with a panel discussion entitled "Children of Immigrants." Moderated by Suffolk University's Lisa W. Coyne, guest panelists include Michelle Madera of Cambridge Public Schools, Flavia Perea of Tufts University School of Medicine, and Allan Tow also of Suffolk University. The conversation will reflect on how the experience of immigration, immigration policy, and demographic trends affect school readiness, literacy, and the emotional development of children of immigrants.
