• Maxine Hong Kingston Launches New Book at Suffolk's Modern Theatre

The acclaimed author talks about her latest collection of poems

The Modern Theatre presents an evening of poetry and discussion with National Book Award-winning poet, memoirist, and novelist Maxine Hong Kingston. Kingston will speak about her new book of poems and personal essays, I Love a Broad Margin to My Life, with Fred Marchant, distinguished poet and Director of Suffolk's Creative Writing Program and Poetry Center.

Maxine Hong Kingston is Professor Emerita at the University of California, Berkeley, and has contributed to the feminist movement with such works as her The Woman Warrior: Memoirs of a Girlhood among Ghosts.

A library of Kingston's work will be available for purchase, and the author will be signing following the event.
