Pursue Your Passion

Tuesday, February 1
1:00—2:30PM
Donahue, Room 403

Celebrated speaker Kirk Nugent will discuss unleashing the greatness within while staying true to yourself. For almost ten years Kirk Nugent has served as a catalyst for change, challenging preconceived notions about success and self-actualization. Kirk started public speaking in poetry venues where he displayed a keen understanding of social and political issues delivered with his signature brand of infectious wit and frenetic energy. Early audiences crowned him “The People’s Poet” and has spoken at venues across the United States, Canada, Europe and the Caribbean.

The "Pursue Your Passion" program is designed to unleash the greatness within each student through the use of critical success factors that are generally not taught within the confines of a classroom. Through the use of his award winning poetry, uncanny wit and personal stories of struggles and triumphs, Kirk Nugent delivers a highly entertaining yet deeply moving presentation that leaves each student not only feeling but "knowing" that there is no such thing as an impossible dream.

This program is about being true to yourself, going after what’s in your heart and not letting someone else dictate to you their pre- assigned agenda of what you ought to be in life. Kirk Nugent speaks directly to the heart of the audience and gives each attendee the tools to develop the courage that he/she needs to live their dreams.

Refreshments will be served.
