Two Basketball Players Named to GNAC Weekly Honor Roll

Two Suffolk University basketball players earned recognition by the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) for the week of December 7.

Sophomores Colin Halpin and Jacqueline Vienneau were named to the GNAC Weekly Honor Roll.

Halpin, honored for the second time this season, finished the week averaging 23.5 points and eight rebounds for the Rams. Halpin recorded a double-double in Suffolk's 96-88 loss to Johnson & Wales, scoring 25 points with 10 rebounds.

He also was Suffolk's leading scorer as he put in 22 in an 81-78 overtime loss to UMass Boston.

In eight games this season Halpin has compiled the following stats:

  • 19.3 points per game, fourth best among GNAC scorers
  • 7.3 rebounds per game, sixth best in the league
  • 55.3 field goal percentage, fifth among GNAC scorers

Jacqueline Vienneau

Vienneau averaged 14.3 points per game, 8 rebounds, and 6.3 assists per game over three contests for the Rams last week.

She recorded her first career double-double, with 20 points and 10 rebounds along with 5 assists in Suffolk's 73-56 win over Nichols College.
