Community open house to feature tours of the lobby gallery and theater

The University will welcome the general public to the grand opening of the new Modern Theatre from noon to 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 5.  The community open house will feature tours of the lobby gallery and theater, and original site specific entertainment as part of the tour.

The Modern Theatre brings a new performance space to the Washington Street Theater District while restoring an important facet of Boston theatrical history. The state-of-the-art, 185-seat venue is ideal for live performances, conversations, readings and film screenings, and will promote excellence and innovation through all of its programming.
