"Copyright for Fashion Design?"

Intellectual Property presents brown bag luncheon series

Noon - 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2010
Suffolk University Law School
120 Tremont St., Boston

Jeannie Suk, assistant professor of law at Harvard Law School, will discuss her Stanford Law Review article co-authored with C. Scott Hemphill, "The Law, Culture, and Economics of Fashion."

Despite being the core of the fashion industry and legally protected in Europe, fashion design lacks protection against copying under U.S. intellectual property law. Suk will discuss whether Congress should create copyright protection for fashion designs.

This program is free, but registration is required.
