Professor in Key Role with Americans for Democratic Action

Law School Professor David Yamada has been elected chair of the National Executive Committee of Americans for Democratic Action, a progressive advocacy and policy organization that was founded by Eleanor Roosevelt, John Kenneth Galbraith, and other civic leaders in 1947.

Yamada, director of the New Workplace Institute at Suffolk Law School, specializes in labor and employment law. He is an internationally recognized authority on the legal and policy aspects of workplace bullying, and he has drafted model legislation known as the Healthy Workplace Bill that is being introduced in state legislatures across the country.

He has served on the Americans for Democratic National Board since 2001 and the ADA National Executive Committee since 2004.
