Students Prepare for Service-Learning Trip

Twenty Suffolk students are preparing for the Alternative Winter Break in El Salvador, where they will learn about the history and politics of El Salvador.

The trip will culminate in building a house for a family in rural El Salvador.

In preparation for the trip, the students have been meeting weekly to learn about El Salvador's history with a specific focus on the country's civil war (1980-1992) and the work of Congressman Joe Moakley.
