The annual fall series of special career events brings working professionals, including Suffolk alumni, to campus to discuss their careers and share their expert insights with students.  

The 17 scheduled events, targeted to undergraduates, graduate students, and alumni, are designed to heighten career awareness and job search savvy.  Career Week 2009 also seeks to highlight the resources and services available at the Office of Career Services and Cooperative Education.

Recession Busters Career Tour 
Noon - 2 p.m. and 4-5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 26, 2009
Donahue and Sawyer lobbies
The staff of Career Services and Cooperative Education will be available to answer job-search questions.

Job Search for Seniors – Looking Beyond Craigslist and Monster
1 - 2:15 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009
20 Ashburton Place
This workshop is aimed at seniors looking to succeed in the job-search process, in spite of trying economic times. Seniors will learn how to be proactive and capitalize on targeted professional associations, niche job sites, contacts, and social networking options.

Professional Dining Etiquette
5:45 - 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009
Omni Parker House, 60 School St.
An etiquette consultant will offer advice on how to make a winning impression at a lunch meeting or business dinner. A three-course meal will be served.  Advance sign-up is required at the HUB or Career Services.

The Annual Majors/Minors Expo
12:30 - 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009
Ridgeway Gym
The expo helps guide freshmen and sophomores unsure of what academic path they want to pursue. Professors, academic advisers, upperclassmen, and the Career Services and Cooperative Education staff will be on hand to assist students in the decision-making process.
