• NESAD Instructor Receives Honors

Douglas Seidler's paper: Using SketchUp to Increase Understanding of Detailing, Material, and Assembly in Interior Design Education was awarded the Members Choice for Best Presentation at the Interior Design Educators Council 2009 Annual Conference in St. Louis, MO (March 2009).

The paper explores introducing three-dimensional modeling as an integral component of the detailing process. In doing so, Seidler created a new learning environment where students visualize and understand the materials, assembly, design, and documentation of construction details.

Seidler is an Assistant Professor of Interior Design at the New England School of Art and Design.  Visit his biography.

To view work from NESAD's Interior Design courses, join them at the Interior Design Graduate Show 2009, being held from May 6-18.  A reception in honor of the graduating students will be held Thursday, May 7th from 5:30-8:00 p.m. at 75 Arlington Street in Boston.
