Two installations connected to the international presentation Here, There and Everywhere: Anticipating the Art of the Future from Transcultural Exchange, which brings together artists from various cultures and disciplines are featured at the Adams Gallery April 1 - May 7, 2009.

Point-to-Point, by Audrey Goldstein of Boston and Dennis Simms of Berlin, consists of a sculptural backpack with a soundtrack and video projected onto its surface, exploring the full spectrum of interpersonal relationships, from chance encounters and familial ties to the disembodied and remote intimacy of the online world.

Common Ground is by Ilona Anderson of Boston, Janet Callinicos of Brisbane, Australia, and Liza Callinicos of London, all of whom have lived in Africa. The artists employ the call and response of African musical tradition to bring to mind the fragile balance in negotiating between cultural contexts. Their installation consists of a romantic embroidered silk petticoat floating above a pile of discarded objects on the floor and the sound of breath emanating from within.
