Stephen D. Paine Scholarship Exhibition


The gallery of the New England School of Art & Design at Suffolk University presents the annual Stephen D. Paine scholarship exhibit, featuring Boston student artists. The exhibit will run from Feb. 12 through March 14, 2009.

The Stephen D. Paine Scholarship, established in 1999 by the Boston Art Dealers Association, supports students entering their final year in studio art programs at colleges in Boston.

The winning artists are:

  • Christopher Dombeck
  • Teresa Partridge nee Pierce
  • Erin Charpentier

Honorable mentions:

  • Dustin Farrenkopf
  • Mutima Hassan
  • Cora Meginsky
  • Jennifer Zigrino

The artists works include video/sound/performance, text-based conceptual work, photography, and sculpture.

The scholarships were juried by Bill Arning of the List Visual art Center at MIT. The exhibit curator is James Hull, gallery director.
