60 School Street, Boston

Distinguished biographer Nigel Hamilton will discuss “Twelve American Caesars - And What the Next President Can Learn from Them” as Suffolk University’s Center for International Education presents the 2008 Derek W.F. Coward Lecture at 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008, in the rooftop ballroom at the Omni Parker House, 60 School St., Boston. A reception will follow.

Hamilton is an award-winning author and a senior fellow in the McCormack Graduate School of Policy Studies at the University of Massachusetts Boston. He is working on American Caesars, a modern version of the Roman classic, The Twelve Caesars, this time recording the lives of the last 12 American presidents, from Franklin D. Roosevelt to George W. Bush.

The Derek. W.F. Coward Lecture Series was established in 1997 through the generosity of Derek W.F. Coward, a former vice president of marketing for Gillette’s safety razor division and executive-in-residence and associate professor of marketing for the Sawyer Business School. Coward now serves on the University’s International Board of Advisers.
