Artists interpret physics at NESAD Gallery

String Theories features the work of Paul Andrade, Lou Cohen, Keith Francis and William Frese and is curated by James Manning.

A number of events are planned to complement the exhibit: 

1-2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23
Lecture and Concert at the C. Walsh Theatre. MIT Physics Professor Washington Taylor will lecture on string theory. Lou Cohen and James Coleman will perform, accompanied by a short film by William Frese.

7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3
Concert at the gallery, featuring Boston-based electro-acoustic musicians, including Lou Bunk (electro-acoustic flimflammery), Cohen (laptop powered by Csound), and special guests.

1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7
A gallery talk with the artists and guest speaker Hong Liu, associate professor of Physics at MIT at the gallery. Liu will discuss his research on string theory and take questions from the audience.
